What We Test
The Athletics Testing Battery

Every EPP athletics assessment covers these five tests using Photon Sports timing gates, high-speed cameras, and force-platform analysis. Results delivered as a full written report within 48 hours.

30m & 40m sprint with full split timing
Photon Sports gates at 10m, 15m, 20m, 30m and 40m capture the full acceleration and speed development curve.

Force-velocity profile
Reveals whether training should prioritise force production or velocity expression. Most athletes are sub-optimal on one side.

Sprint mechanics analysis
High-speed cameras capture stride frequency, ground contact time, overstriding, and arm mechanics.

Countermovement jump & reactive strength index
RSI is particularly relevant for sprinters — ground contact efficiency has an outsized effect on top-end speed.

Acceleration phase analysis (0–10m)
Drive angle, first-step mechanics, and initial acceleration — the phase that determines race position.
What the Data Shows
Why This Matters for Athletics

What distances do you test?
Standard protocol is 30–40m with splits at 10, 15, 20, and 30m. For 100m+ specialists we can extend to 60m.
