Track Progress
Every 6 Weeks

One test tells you where your athlete is. Six weeks of data tells you if the training is working. EPP monitors sprint times, agility scores and strength metrics on a 6-week cycle — so coaches and parents always have accurate, objective data on development.

Why 6 Weeks?

The Science Behind 6-Week Testing

Six weeks is the minimum period in which meaningful, measurable physical adaptations can be detected in youth athletes. Testing too frequently (less than 4 weeks) introduces noise — day-to-day variation masks real change. Testing too infrequently (more than 8 weeks) risks missing regressions or plateaus before they become embedded.

EPP's 6-week monitoring cycle is aligned with a standard athletic development block. Each cycle covers one complete training phase, allowing coaches to directly compare athletic output against training input.

Our research data across 300+ tested athletes shows an average 15% improvement in change of direction and 3% sprint time improvement within an 8-week period for athletes on structured programmes — both measured against their own baseline.

What Changes in 6 Weeks
  • Sprint mechanics improve with coaching — measurable in 10m split times
  • Change of direction efficiency increases as deceleration patterns improve
  • Bilateral asymmetry reduces with targeted strength work
  • Ground contact time decreases as neuromuscular efficiency develops
  • Force application rate (RFD) increases with consistent plyometric training

The Testing Battery

What We Measure Every 6 Weeks

Sprint Profiling

Photon Sports timing gates at 5m, 10m and 40m. Acceleration, top speed and split times tracked across every session for direct comparison.

Change of Direction

505 and T-test protocols. COD score comparison across sessions reveals whether agility is genuinely improving or just varying day-to-day.

Bilateral Strength

Single-leg and bilateral assessments. Asymmetry ratios tracked — a key injury risk marker that changes meaningfully in 6-week blocks.

Force-Velocity Profile

Determines whether your athlete needs to train more force-based or velocity-based. Profile can shift meaningfully in 6 weeks with targeted programming.

Sprint Mechanics

Video analysis of running form. Ground contact time, stride length and flight time measured. Technique improvements are objectively captured.

Written Report

Full comparison report within 48 hours. Graphs showing progress over time. Specific recommendations for the next training block based on the data.
